Getting There:
Shuhe Ancient Town is located approximately 7 kilometres from Lijiang Old Town and can be easily reached by taxi or private car. If you’re arriving by bus, the bus station is located in Lijiang, and from there, you can take a taxi to Shuhe. You can also jump on one of the Hello Bikes on the way and cycle to or from Shuhe back to your hotel.
Getting Around:
Shuhe is a small town and easily explored on foot. Walking is the best way to take in the beautiful architecture and peaceful atmosphere of the town.
How Much Time to Spend There:
A half-day trip is sufficient to explore Shuhe Ancient Town, but you can spend the whole day if you wish. With its peaceful atmosphere, you can easily spend a few hours here, taking in the sights and soaking up the local culture.
What to Do:
- Stroll the charming cobblestone streets and admire the traditional wooden buildings.
- Visit the original town, a cultural heritage site, and admire the ancient architecture.
- Visit the local market to pick up souvenirs and sample local foods.
