Named by Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang, the temple once sprawled over 300,000 square meters. Despite suffering destruction during warfare, it was rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. The temple complex, including the Wuliang Hall, has been a site of Buddhist worship and a memorial for soldiers from various periods of China’s history.

Today, Linggu Temple offers a tranquil retreat, with its courtyards and halls echoing the chants of monks, creating an atmosphere of profound peace.
